GROUP CLASSES SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE -- Private classes will be held at the Dogue Shop. The new curfew is posing restrictions on our availabilities, but rest assured, we are designing a schedule that will accommodate as many people as possible. We will post the schedule in the upcoming days. Thank you for your patience.

Outside group classes have come to an end for the 2020 season. After a very busy spring, summer, and fall, we are taking a well-deserved rest. We will be back with private classes in 2021, and we will return to our regular schedule, Monday nights starting at 18:00.

Puppy and adolescent Group Classes in the Jeanne-Mance park will return as soon as the milder weather returns. Fingers crossed it will be in March 2021. We will announce the start date here and on social media Facebook and Instagram.

We will post the updated rules and safety measures if any, once they become available.

Please stay safe and healthy.

Puppy Group Classes in Jeanne-Mance Park

Puppy socialization group classes on the Plateau Mont-Royal, in Montreal, are for dogs under four months of age. Group classes occur in the Jeanne-Mance park* at the corner of Duluth and Esplanade. During class, we will practice puppy manners and get a chance to socialize with other adult dogs. We also offer a Q&A session at the end of every class, so make sure to write your questions and bring them to class.

Registration is ongoing and spaces are limited to four dogs; consequently, we suggest you register sooner than later. You can e-mail us for the registration and weaver forms. Payments can be made by e-transfer or cash. Please note, we do not accept credit cards or checks.

We require vaccination certifications or a veterinary signed "good health" certificate given ten days prior to attending the 1st puppy class (we are flexible and to take certain aspects into consideration regarding vaccination). Below is a summary of our course content. Adolescent Group Classes in Jeanne-Mance Park

Dogs transition from puppy-hood to adolescence between the fourth and fifth month of age. The fifth month marks the beginning of adolescence when dogs become more rambunctious and obnoxious. Furthermore, teenage dogs start to run away from their owners during this phase and can become more destructive, reactive, vocal, fearful, anxious or aggressive.

Our adolescent group classes are offered at the Jeanne-Mance park* on the corner of Duluth and Esplanade, in Montreal, to dogs between five months and eleven months of age. Dogs six months and older will normally start to reproduce; therefore, dogs who attend group classes will have to bring proof of sterilization; we don't want accidental babies. Below is a summary of our course content.

Classes are ongoing which means you can register at any time. We only take four dogs at a time in our classes, so make sure to reserve your spot ahead of time.

We accept cash and e-transfers. We do not accept credit cards or checks. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about our adolescent dog group classes.

NOTE: There are no refunds after classes have started and class are not transferable, exchangeable, movable, or modifiable.

Senior Group Classes in Jeanne-Mance Park

We all know dogs age fast. One day our puppy is seven weeks old, the next day we realize it is now seven years old. Dogs are considered seniors at seven years old, or sixty-two in human years, and with age comes a variety of changes and challenges. Senior dogs suffer from physical illnesses and diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, distended cardiomyopathy, and sensory loss. The brain also ages and dogs can suffer from dementia and other brain dysfunctions. Loss of sight, hearing, and smell do not always trouble dogs, but they impact human life and make it more challenging.

In the senior group class, we will cover topics such as the ageing brain and body, supplements, sensory deprivation, and practical solutions to everyday challenges of living with a senior dog. Each week we will do an exercise and train a specific behaviour, both of which are aimed at improving dog and human quality of life.

Classes are ongoing which means you can register at any time. Click on the link below for the registration and weaver forms. Payments can be made online or physically at the Dogue Shop. We accept Interac, cash, and e-transfers. Please note, we do not accept credit cards or checks. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about our senior dog group classes. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and treats. NOTE: There are no refunds after classes have started. Class dates are not transferable, exchangeable, movable, or modifiable.
